The Short Version

BathroomBlocker collects no personal data. Everything runs on your device. We have no servers that store your usage, no accounts, and no analytics tied to you as an individual.

1. Information We Collect

BathroomBlocker is designed with a privacy-first architecture. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). Specifically:

  • We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information.
  • We do not track which apps you choose to block.
  • We do not collect app content or detailed usage behavior beyond session metadata.
  • We may collect basic session metadata such as app session time, session start/end events, and aggregated session counts for analytics.
  • We do not access your location data.
  • We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.

Session metadata helps us understand app performance and improve the product. This metadata does not contain personal identifying information.

2. Screen Time & Family Controls

BathroomBlocker uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls and DeviceActivity frameworks) to apply app blocking. This framework is provided and controlled by Apple. We do not have visibility into the specific apps you select or block — this information stays within Apple's secure framework on your device.

3. Analytics & Attribution

BathroomBlocker sends aggregated session metadata, such as app session time, session start/end events, and other non-personal usage signals, to Adjust. Adjust is a mobile measurement partner (MMP) used to help us measure installs, app performance, and product usage trends.

Adjust does not receive your personal contact information from BathroomBlocker. The data we share is used only for analytics and attribution, not for personal profiling.

4. App Store Analytics

Apple may collect certain aggregated, anonymized usage data through the App Store (such as download counts and crash logs). This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is not accessible to us in identifiable form.

5. iCloud

BathroomBlocker does not currently use iCloud or any cloud syncing services. Your preferences and settings are stored locally on your device only.

6. Children's Privacy

BathroomBlocker is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. As we collect no personal data from any user, there is no special handling required for younger users.

7. Third-Party Services

BathroomBlocker uses Adjust, a mobile measurement partner (MMP), to process aggregated session metadata for install attribution and analytics. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs from Facebook, Google, or similar providers.

8. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal user data, there is no personal data to secure on our end. All app preferences are stored using Apple's standard local storage mechanisms on your device, protected by your device's own security model (Face ID, PIN, etc.).

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
